If you train here or you've heard us talk, you'll know we go on about seasons.
Here's what we mean. We don't think balance really exists, not the neat, everything-in-its-place version we're all sold. Life doesn't work like that. Instead, we move through seasons.
Some are busy. Some are quiet. Some feel like you're charging forward, and others feel like you're standing still no matter what you do. All of them are normal.
We speak from experience. Between the two of us we run and manage two businesses, we homeschool, we train ourselves, and we get our daughter to her cheer training. We are always on the go. If we waited for "balance" before we looked after ourselves, we'd be waiting forever.
Our members are living this too. Right now a few are in the baby-making season, with several women training through pregnancy. Others are postpartum, finding their feet again. Some are flat out at work, some are quiet and able to give training more. Every one of those is a season, not a failure.
Why does this matter at the gym? Because it changes how we coach you. We're never expecting you to show up as the same person every single day. We adapt to the season you're in. A big week, a rough patch, a fresh start, we work with it rather than against it.
So if you're in a hard season right now, that's okay. It won't last, and you don't have to have it all together to walk through the door.
Whatever season you're in, there's a place for you here. 💙
